Beaches

Turkey boasts some of the best beaches in Europe; turquoise seas, crystal clear waters, stunning mountain backdrops, golden sands and fantastic weather. 235 of Turkey's beaches and 14 marinas have been awarded the Blue flag for cleanliness and safety. Within easy reach of Augustus resort are the beaches of Side, Belek, Kadriye, Kemer and Antalya. Whilst at the beach, you may like to take in some watersports or check out some local sites of interest.



Belek Beach

Belek Beach16kms of finest sand sloping down to azure blue waters. Frequented by locals and tourists alike it is a popular nesting place for turtles and one of the few beaches in Turkey where the rare Caretta turtles choose to lay their eggs.

Kadriye Beach

A traditional village where agriculture was once the main source of income but is now a holiday and golf resort town offering superb facilities. Kadriye beach is geared towards the tourist market and the main beach has been landscaped with flowers and trees creating a beautiful setting.

Kemer Beach

West of Antalya, the Kemer region offers glorious sandy beaches.

Kaleici (old town) has a small and attractive beach to one side of the harbor, with sunbathing terraces and a sandy beach area. Enjoy views of the cosmopolitan city of Antalya on the other side of the bay.

Lara beach (12km to east of Antalya) is home to the best beach in the area. Plenty of water sports available here. Konyaalti is also popular, a long pebble beach to the west of the city.

Side

There are sandy beaches to both sides of the town with plenty of space for sunbathing, even during high summer. Offers a range of water sports.

Alanya

Eastern Beach and Cleopatra Beach are both ideal places to relax in the sunshine and enjoy the sea. Alanya is famed for it's golden sands and has been awarded 3 blue flag awards.
